We're all gearedup for the Graduate Research Colloquium. There has been a record number of submissions this year, promising that the event will be more competitive and grand than ever before.

What is the GRC?
Each spring, GSG sponsors the Graduate Research Colloquium Poster & Presentation Competition. The colloquium is a unique opportunity to share your research with the university community and to gain experience in presenting that research to colleagues.
Who can participate?
The competition is open to all graduate students from all departments and faculties. Students may choose to either present their research in a talk, or create a poster detailing their research. Both posters and presentations are judged by Michigan Tech faculty predefined rubrics. The evaluation sheets will be provided to presenters with their schedule of talk about a month before the colloquium
What are the prizes?
Cash prizes are awarded for first, second, and third place in both the poster and presentation categories:
1st Place — $300
2nd Place — $200
3rd Place — $100
How do I apply?
This year we are using an online abstract submission process. The deadline for submitting a poster or presentation abstract is 5:00pm, December 10, 2012. All abstracts must be formatted according to the guidelines. Once your abstract is ready go here to upload your abstract.

What are the Awards?
GSG also annualy presents awards to the Outstanding Student Scholar, Outstanding Student Leader and Graduate Mentor at the Colloquium banquet. For more information regarding the awards and nominations, please visit the Awards page.
What is the GRC banquet?
All presenters, judges, award nominees, nominator and graduate school’s award winners will be invited for the banquet. Staff from graduate school and e-board of graduate student government will also join the banquet
